I am the absolute worst blogger. But, since getting and wearing my bodybugg, I have lost 20+ pounds. Yes, it has been slow....very slow, but I am convinced that this is the last weight loss program I will be on.
Last week I bought a pair of size 8! jeans and they fit!

GOT IT!!!!
Got my bodybugg today...HALLOWEEN, how ironic. Well the cool thing is that you are supposed to wear it for 48-72 hours before you really start trying to make it work. I guess that in the time that you are just wearing the thing on your body it is gathering the info about you. You can adjust the strap so that it is comfy for you.
I had heard that it is addicting...so far, in 1 hour I have uploaded my information 3 times. Each time I do, I then run around the house and jump up and down...upload and then look at the "spikes" in activity. It is kind of cool how it knows.
After I have my counseling session I will know more, but so far, pretty nifty gadget!

Before I start
First of all, I have always really struggled with my weight. I think that I have been overweight and on a diet pretty much all of my life. I have done slim-fast, lo-carb, grapefruit, cabbage soup, weight watchers (3 times) and just plain calorie counting.
I really believe that calorie in-calorie out is the way to go about weight loss. Easier said than done most of the time.
I found bodybugg by watching the biggest loser on TV. For a point of reference I am about 5'4" and roughly 180. I wear from a 10 to a 14 depending on the maker. I think that sounds horrible. I do know that most people really think that I am lying about my weight. I do not look that heavy, but I am obsessed with the number on the scale and on the tag of my pants. I will post a photo soon.
After some serious research I think that the bodybugg is going to be the way to go for me. It appears to offer my obsessive nature the oportunity to obsess over something in a big way.
My bodybugg should arrive on HALLOWEEN!!!! I am pretty excited and I will keep all of you up to date on all that it does, doesn't do and all that I think is good, bad or indiferent.
I know that someone is going to ask....so I found my unit on 24hourfitness.com it was on sale for less than $200 and that includes 3 months of monitoring service. My plan is to get the unit and begin wearing it immediately. Although my official start date will be Monday 11/3/08.
